The Hailemariam & Roman Foundation(HRF) in partnership with China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD) donated Panda Packs containing personal items, Stationaries, and other accessories to primary-level students of Turmi City Administration and Dimeka Town in South Omo Zone.
During the handover ceremony, the HRF’s Youth and Women’s Economic Empowerment Program senior expert, Mrs. Debrework Leulseged, stated that over the past two years, the foundation has been implementing initiatives to enhance the school attendance and effectiveness of children of pastoralist and semi-pastoralist communities in South and West Omo Zones. As a result, numerous tweaks have been implemented to enhance the teaching and learning process.
As per her statement, the foundation’s objective for the 2023 (2016 E.C.) school year is to bolster the support in order to bring about a progressive transformation in the teaching and learning system. In the three days, 1048 educational materials (Panda Packs) were distributed to schools in selected Woredas and City Administration, namely Hamer, Bena Tsemay, and Turmi.
Senior officials from the Woredas and Zonal level education department attended the handover ceremony.
